Leaving Valldemossa continue along the MA-1130 road heading towards Esporles and Andratx, going past the estate of Son Moragues and the detour to Deià, 500 metres along, you will find the road that leads to Port de Valldemossa.
Before, you will pass the estates of Son Mas and es Pla del Rei, until you come to the highest point, the vantage point of Portalet. From there, you can obtain an unparalleled view of the Mediterranean, with its spectacular sunrises and stunning sunsets. From this spot you can also see the Arabian style tower of Puig de sa Moneda and the waterfall of the Raig de Teules that forms when there is a lot of rainfall. At the bottom, below, on both sides of the stream, you will find a small fishing port with fishermen, holidaymakers, and little stone huts scattered around it.
Descend carefully along a secondary, and narrow road, MA-1131, which descends, winding and narrow, but with unbeatable views over the sea. Once at the bottom, drivers can park at the port´s esplanade. This is the summer holiday location par excellence of Valldemossa´s locals. Walkers will find themselves among fishing huts, with a relaxed and family environment where you can also enjoy the small and welcoming pebble beaches. If you want to, you can enjoy a relaxed swim in these open, transparent and crystalline waters. In the port´s restaurant, you can savour fresh fish, the area´s famous prawns and lobsters, as well as delicious paellas.
The patron saint festivals are held on 15 August, with the festival of the Assumption of the Virgin.
